He replied "Are you asking because there aren't any towels in there"? I wanted to say "No Nick, there are plenty of towels there. There were no towels so I asked Nick where I could find some. I had to remind him that I was waiting for my change. it looked like he had forgotten what was going one. After about 4 minutes, he hung up, looked at the five dollar bill and seemed confused. Nick then apologized to the person on the phone (because I was loud). Instead of asking them to hold and giving me my change, he made me wait.My family asked if I was coming and I raised my voice to answer them "yes, just waiting for my change.". I stood there waiting for several minutes as he spoke to a someone on the phone. My family was waiting by the elevator for me thinking it wouldn't take long for me to receive $2 in change. He gave us our keys and then I handed him a small box of detergent that I wanted to purchase. Upon check in, Nick was at the front desk. So basically, this was done and NO ONE called me or emailed me the new reservation details. The manager found it by confirmation number and said it had already been modified from two nights to one night. The manager said I had NO RESERVATION in the system. I waited a couple of days and then finally called the hotel and asked to speak with a manager about modifying my reservation. He said he would make a note in the computer and a manager would call me back. Green practices include double flush toilets, recycled materials, bulk shampoo and soap dispensers in the shower, censored lights upon entering the guest rooms and public spaces. This brand is Hilton's trendy, green, chic product. Nick on the front desk said he could NOT do that for me. The Home2 Suites is the newest hotel in Erie, opening May 11, 2014. ![]() Next, I attempted to modify my two night reservation. When I asked about blocking off rooms for a large group I was told they could not do that because they currently had NO sales manager and no one else could process this request. Last year was a very pleasant experience but this year was completely different. This was our second time staying at this hotel. ![]()
